Promises

Kaffāra (Arabic: الکفارة) is a penalty or fine imposed on committing certain haram actions or omitting certain obligations. Some of these penalties are financial and some are worship. If a person breaks his or her promise (Ehd) then according to the majority of jurists he or she should do one of the following: emancipating a slave or feeding 60 people in need or fasting for two months.
